The Making of a Guild

Sometimes players ask you "what is the history from Radeon?" It all started small, most members came from Ridders van Oranje a dutch guild. Just a bunch of friends that wanted to be a 25man raiding guild. Radeon was 18th of the server when clearing Naxxramas. Then they decided to bring all old friends together and to create a community thats fun and progressing really well at the same time.

If i look at myself i can remember leveling this warlock just to play with Radeon. Before that my main was a holy paladin that played from the start till the end with EAT MORE CAKE.

When Ulduar came to an end we decided to reform the guild abit. New raidleading more dedicated officers and our main focus became progress with short raiding weeks from 20.00 till 23.30 around 3-4 days a week. The competition began!

This gave the guild a huge spirit boost. We did everything to keep it fun and relaxing. Of course we had our EMOrage moments, every guild has that. "The grass is always greener at the front door from other guilds". We ended up with farming Anub'arak for a few weeks and getting all our lost progress we had in the past with completing Glory of the Ulduar Raider (25 player) and Observed (25 player).

Icecrown Citadel became available! We had huge plans and got beaten in the first minute since Borderline did the same tactic they used in Ulduar. Called sick and started the raid when the servers became available. We couldn't compete against that dedication and decided to follow our normal raiding times.

With alot of effort from our members and massive headbashing we killed the Lich King fairly quickly with our 10man raiding teams and 25man raiding team.

We then set foot into Icecrown Citadel (heroic)! We decided to go for a 2 week sneak peak tour. Since there was no competition on Aerie Peak. And we didnt want to burn our raiders out within several weeks. We achieved the following kills.

Like the "about us" section already tells you. Radeon members all know one another, we do not consist of a bunch of cliques, instead the entire guild is a whole. Its not a job its a fucking adventure!

BRB ICECREAM VAN!

We are not that good with dragons it seems! After a few solid raiding days on Sindragosa we managed to sort out the tank deaths and frost bomb failures. We made a nice vanilla ice cone with a dragon laying on the side. We can now start playing with goo. On a side note we also managed to get a couple 10man drakes. Vildebill we finally found your bike!

We are still searching for a couple of dedicated raiders. If you can handle the fun, you can apply on the forums.

I HAVE BECOME...DEATH!

Dont you love the smell of marks in the evening? After running for ghosts while screaming, we can now stand still and let the healers carry us. Since seriously who the fuck cant get 10k dps or higher. Its seems to be a simple fight but seeing someone getting hit for 15k every 1,5 seconds isn't that fun.

 
We practiced the fight for a hour a few weeks ago so the beast dps was already sorted. After a row of magical numbers 7% 4% 2% and "FOKKING HELL!, WTF! and WHY?" on vent. Yes awyth disconnected on the 2% wipe.

P-P-P-POKER FACE!

We killed Festercunt on monday and after 2 weeks of being scared to do this amazing fight we finally killed Lady Gaga. Even with the 10% buff the ghosts in phase 2 are fun (19-22k hits aka 1shot). Our next focus will be getting Deathbringer Saurfang down this week. We already sorted most of the fight a few weeks ago. So it shouldn't be that hard if we dont get down syndrome.

 
Next thing, we finally had some time to do some more 10 manning and find those Naga's. On friday we will get the last meta achievement to fly those baby Sindragosa's!

ON A MISSION!

Time for some girl action! We gave Blood Queen Lana'thel a few tries last week on our 2 weeks of sneak peak tour. The DPS requirement are pretty fun for this fight 185k+ on normal and 225k+ on heroic. After wiping once and telling players to stay below the threat of Dotted, Esper, Awyth and Daeid it was a nice flawless kill.

 
We wanted to put some time in Festergut as well since they nerfed the oozes. Too bad blizzard unplugged the powercable for the login servers. On a sidenote gratz to Reunited and Core with getting their Icecrown Citadel 10 drakes. We could now say we had lag and signup issues but we didnt. Nagas stole our drakes i'm serious!

GREEN DRAKE!

After killing all heroic bosses that we killed last week we decided to heal a drake. After getting to 95% on the first pull we logged a paladin alt and zerg healed it down. On the last 2 days of this reset we will focus on Festergut (heroic) and ofcourse another Lich King kill. Congratulations to Reunited on getting the 2nd Lich King kill, who will kill him next?
